Other studies have found that turmeric was more effective in lubricating the joints than several other common drugs. Overall, most studies have found turmeric is a better natural treatment for joint pain than many drugs.

Fights aging process: A growing number of studies have shown that curcumin might help delay the aging process. The high concentration of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents in turmeric address what is believed to be the direct cause of aging – free radicals and inflammation.

Turmeric eliminates free radicals from the body and fights inflammation, which has led researchers to believe tat turmeric may be a good natural anti-aging supplement. There has been some evidence to support this claim but more is needed before it can be proven as fact.

Other studies show that turmeric might fight depression, reduce the risk for heart disease, and improve the immune system.
